If you're sure that soothing, smoothed out lullaby versions of Garth Brooks songs like "Long Neck Bottle," "Two of a Kind, Workin' on a Full House," and "Friends in Low Places" are just what your little one needs to drift off to Sleepville, then this washed-out and mellow set is perfect, although these guitar, gentle percussion, and pedal steel instrumentals sort of miss the point of Brooks' amped-up, post-modern honky tonk act. Do we really want little ones to have friends in low places? Some songs, however pretty they sound, just aren't supposed to be lullabies. Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
