Immediate, dramatic and grand from the opening notes, this particular underscore would be notable if only for the inclusion of "Hymn To Red October" with its resounding imitation Red Army Choir. August 22, 2009: I bought this CD with high expectations- the film is amazing and Poledouris is talented if somewhat old school composer- but was disappointed on two fronts. Firstly, there is barely half an hours worth of music on the whole disc. Secondly, except for the first two tracks, the music is dead boring.

And the second track really is just variations on the first track. Give this one a miss!
