If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses… think again. Straight No Chaser are neither straight-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. Originally formed a dozen years ago while students together at Indiana University, the group has reassembled and reemerged after their video for ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ became a phenomenon with almost 8 million views on YouTube. February 23, 2009: I didn't purchae the CD until after Christmas and was so anxious to listen; I continued listening to the CD until the end of January. Through the cold and dismal month, it was uplifting to listen to the

Christmas songs anyway.

I also purchased a CD for family members who were not familiar with Straight No Chaser and they were absolutely thrilled with the late Christmas gift. I also purchased extra copies for family members familiar with the group and they will receive their early Christmas gifts at Thanksgiving 2009; I know they will be thrilled and their small children will be dancing to the upbeat songs. Hope Straight No Chaser will do another CD soon.

February 10, 2009: After their public explosion with "12 Days of Christmas," it was great to hear more of Straight No Chaser. Looking forward to their next release.
