A warm, woolly blend of contemporary arrangements with traditional folk melodies. There is an undeniable Fairport Convention/Steeleye Span influence to be found, though other elements also make their way into the mix -- "Texas" not only features a buzzing synthesizer, but also incorporates some very jazzy fretless bass work that wouldn't be out of place on a Rippingtons set. Overall, a quite engaging and highly listenable set, though unlikely to be sufficiently moody and serious to completely satisfy those who consider themselves purists. Fans of the Albion Band, on the other hand, might well get a kick out of it. Steven McDonald, All Music Guide
