November 26, 2007: In a precarious emotional state after the loss of a loved one, Sia Furler sings heartfelt songs of love, loss, loneliness, and depression to a perky dance beat. This is an amazing album, Sia's first major solo effort. Since then she has scored a hit with "Breathe Me" on her second release, "Colour the Small One", and issued a live album, "Lady Croissant" and the EP "Day Too Soon". Her latest, "Some People Have Real Problems", will be released in January of 2008. Sia has a rich, musical voice, and sings beautifully in tune with a variety of timbres and tasteful, seemingly effortless melisma. Her voice as musical instrument is a marvel, and she is a killer songwriter to boot. If "Healing is Difficult" is a little pricey for a first try with an artist, check out "Lady Croissant".
