June 30, 2006: I admit I may constitute a minority in thinking as highly as I do of Hasse's work. It is difficult to rate this performance as no others are available of this particular work. However, the conductor and performers seem to do an excellent job in interpreting the piece. At times, the two sopranos lack the power to cut through the orchestra as effectively as one might like however, their interpretive abilities are excellent.
