This double-disc is essential to anyone who wants a really comprehensive overview on this incredible musician. The tracks has been carefully selected, as Emerson was personally involved in compiling this release. There are, of course, many songs from the ELP-era, but also a few rarities. For example, the opening track featuring Emerson in his early teens, playing a medley that sounds like an accompaniment to a silent film. There is also jazz, ragtime, Bach-excerpts and a handful of his own compositions to be found. Anyone interested in progressive rock should pay a lot of attention to this release.
