Exuberant, fun music for the footloose, fancy free, and musically challenged. One doesn't need the brain of Nostradamus to bounce with these dancefloor shout-outs about shakin' booties and other hedonist endeavors. And pipes like Luther Vandross' aren't necessary to belt 'em out; K.C. has more than enough vocal prowess, along with enthusiasm, to deliver the goods. The underrated Sunshine Band -- a rambunctious bunch of Miami-based musicians who played with the ferocity of feeding lions -- ably backs K.C., who's totally into these songs, simple as they may be.
