Gettysburg was an ambitious epic detailing one of the most famous battles in the American Civil War. Appropriately, the soundtrack is grand, dramatic, and stirring. In fact, the incidental music works better as an individual entity than most soundtracks and is arguably more compelling than portions of the overly long movie. November 18, 2003: I hope to get this cd for Christmas, but I listened to all the clips and they left me begging for more! These selections put forth great emotion and allow even the dullest of imaginations to picture a scene to go along with the music!

February 19, 2001: Whenever I play soundtracks for others they always ask for this one over and over. It has such a range of tempos and dynamics and is superbly written, orchestrated, and produced. It displays all ranges of feelings and is a joy to listen to. It is the best soundtrack I've ever heard, and there are some very good ones out there!
