About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Marcia Ball explored R&B and honky tonk country on this album, keeping her blues chops in order while expanding her repertoire. She included a pair of tunes by country vocalist Lee Roy Parnell, "What's a Girl to Do" and "Red Hot," doing both in a feisty, attacking fashion. She was also challenging and upbeat on Dr. John's "How You Carry On" and "Find Another Fool." Her third Rounder album, Gatorhythms was one of her most entertaining and dynamic, as Ball became less of an interpreter and more of an individualist. Ron Wynn, All Music Guide

August 25, 2008: This is one of the best CD's around if you like blues/jazz/folk/etc., all rolled into one. I have heard Marcia Ball and her band several times in concert, and she's absolutely wonderful! This set of music will have you tapping your toes and singing along. Great, fun music!

March 17, 2007: Folks, 34 minutes and 11 seconds is worse than a cheaply mastered LP! The Rounder label should perhaps become the Bounder label.
