June 22, 2008: With this being the second of four single releases this summer The Cure steps into round two with something different. Freakshow is a very jazzy kinda funk rock song. It is silly in nature, playfully sung and just a great toe tapper. Upon first listen you may find the track forgetable but if you give it a second run around you will start feel the "sway" and "slide". Once again a fun single from a rejuvinated band. It's b-side in All kinds of Stuff is a manic rock song which you could compare to an older song like Never Enough. It has a lot of punch, kick and rip from start to end. This is a nice little rocker of a song.
