The title Forosoco is derived from the first two letters of each musical genre the Bacon Brothers tackle -- in other words, folk, rock, soul, and country. Kevin Bacon acquits himself far more admirably than most actors who attempt to forge musical careers, sharing the load with his more experienced brother, Michael; guest appearances from the likes of Jon Bon Jovi and Jonathan Edwards also add to the record's mainstream appeal. [In 2003, Forosoco was reissued with live versions of "They Still Holler Boogie" and "Footloose" as bonus tracks.] Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
