About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The latest release from this 11-woman vocal group again offers a bouquet of traditional tunes from around the world. Notably absent are any songs from the Balkans and the Middle East, which have been heavily featured on previous albums. Instead there are 18 pieces from countries as geographically and culturally diverse as Spain and Hawaii, Sweden and Japan, Kenya and the United States, as well as a couple of original tunes. ~ Backroads Music/Heartbeats, All Music Guide All Music Guide

January 30, 2008: This is music for the day you want the cooling sensation of new age acoustic piano music and simultnaeously crave something that has the feminist, thematic, earth-change-with-a good-dose-youthful-optimism you love in Jewel's fabulous "Spirit" album! Except with the earthy wisdom of early cultures added. Also the steady gaze of a wise woman who has seen many decades of life. Cannot speak highly enough of this CD. It's a must-listen. Viva Libana!
