About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Explode, the fourth album by Boston's Unseen, is slightly more mature than their earlier releases. It's still pure street punk: 12 songs in barely 21 minutes, each one of them more strident, pissed-off, and aggressive than the one before; but this album hangs together much better than earlier efforts like Lower Class Crucifixion. The songs are uniformly ultra-tight, which ratchets up the tension far more effectively on one-minute bursts of aggro like "Fed Up" and "Useless Regrets." As always on this kind of hardcore album, the songs end up blurring into one another, which only adds to the album's total impact. Strictly for hardcore purists, of course, but Explode is an aptly-titled missile of an album. ~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide All Music Guide

July 02, 2003: I'll try to make this review meaingful. If you like pouser punk you should leave because you'd call it artless noise or something. I first bought this cd I thought it wasn't that good. Some songs like False hope were good right away but others took a while. I listened to it for a couple of days didn't like it much so I listened to other cds. But then after a while some songs I didn't like so much started getting stuck in my head. After a while it got good so I listened to it again. It stayed in my cd player for weeks and still finds it's way in there more than some of my best cd's so I highly recomend it to any (real) punk fan.
