April 12, 2006: Exodus, much like the meaning of the title, was her first step into American market. With catchy songs like Easy Breezy and Hotel Lobby, you know for sure this girl is a worldwide star. America fails to notice her potential, just beacause she isn't "Mainstream". Please. Also, people talk about the particular line in Easy Breezy when she says: 'Your Easy Breezy, and I'm Japanesey!' But, that was just a clever hook to keep you listening to the song. Think about it. When she said that line, did you just shut off the CD and throw it away? No. You didn't. You listened to what else she has to say about her Japanesey-ness. It was an amazing ploy that she again used in 'You Make Me Want To Be A Man'. Anyway, Utada writes, makes the beats, and even produces her music. The american music industry could learn a thing or five about her.
