October 11, 2006: This is my favorite Modest Mouse CD. I bought it without knowing what it would sound like, and I'm happy to say that I was exceptionally pleased with what I heard. The music is so good, so undescribably good, that I can only say that it makes me want to beat my head into a wall...which is a good thing! There's just something about it...I can't put it into words. You must hear this album!

March 24, 2005: Most people I know that are Modest Mouse fans won't recognize much of the sound found on this album. It's true that they took quite a leap in creating these songs that drift from their typical sound, but the true music enthusiasts will find a rich and unique blend of Mouse's flavor mixed with something else. This something else is also Modest Mouse's sound, but nowhere near what you've heard or would expect.
