I was a Quiet Storm night-jock in Black radio for much of the 80s & 90s. Gary Taylor has been there for all it. And this album follows suit with his others: consistent, smooth, excellent, memorable. Of note: anybody who would put musician Dori Caymmi on his album *knows* how to make it deep yet keep it real. So rare. And in this regard as well as these others, I somewhat liken him to Gino Vannelli -- deep, adventurous, unique, and yet largely missed by mainstream radio over the years -- but the REAL Quiet Storm fans know & love his work. Also, checkout the track "Woman of Color". Don't know where the Urban-AC / neo-soul movement will go from here, but no matter because Gary Taylor is his own standard -- PERIOD !
