July 23, 2008: Even though I've never watched the actual movie, I must say that the soundtrack was at least pretty darned inspired. Each track on this album really gives the listener a sense of which scene from the film it's portraying, and even the use of the movie's main theme--which might strike certain critics as being a little repetitive at times--is nevertheless done inventively enough in each song so as to give an additional sense of drama, danger, suspense, or celebration to the composition of which it is a part. Then again, my favorite song on the entire disc has to be This Is Not A Game by Buck 250, a downright electrifying and imaginative dance track that serves as the album's summary piece. In short, no matter what the movie's reputation with critics and audiences alike, one thing is for certain: Justin Burnett's talents were put to good use here.

December 19, 2000: For an ''unknown'' composer, Justin Burnett has entered the competitive world of movie soundtracks with an amazing first attempt. After seeing the film, I was anxious to relive the fast-paced, rich score that guided me throughout the movie. His full orchestral score contains unique themes for each of the main characters and a robust main theme that remains with you long after you have stopped listening to the cd. I completely enjoyed Justin's first album and will keep my eyes open for his next project!
