About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Recorded in Spain and mixed in the U.K. by Joe Dworniak, Jarabe de Palo delivers an interesting and well-produced 11-track album starting with a reflective "De Vuelta y Vuelta" and then moving to an Spanish rock song titled "Tiempo," with contributions by Italian Jovanotti and Puerto Rican rapper Vico C. The nostalgic "Dos Dias en la Vida" is followed by Jamaican reggae-inflected "La Luz de Tu Corazón" and the relaxed "Completo Incompleto," with vocals by ex-Nacha Pop singer/songwriter Antonio Vega. De Vuelta y Vuelta comes to an end with the tropical-flavored "Agustito con la Vida," the hard rock revival "De los Libros (No Se Aprende)," and the acoustic freestyle "Mama." Drummer Danny Cummings and Jamiroquai's guitarist, Glenn Nightingale, offer well-crafted performances. Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
