Elisa is a star in Italy, where her previous albums have sold in huge numbers, and Dancing is her U.S. debut. She certainly has a fine voice, a slightly dark and unusually timbered one that is perfectly suited to her big, emotional songs of longing and romantic wonder. Although the songs on Dancing can often seem rather shapeless with plodding tempos, they are pretty enough and nicely produced. "Broken" injects a little bit of energy into the proceedings along with a nice rhythmic changeup, and on "Life Goes On" she succeeds in morphing into an understated loveliness that works very well. With better material Elisa might be a world-class talent, as demonstrated by a few impressive moments scattered through this album. Rick Anderson, All Music Guide

October 18, 2008: The first time I heard Elisa I was blown away. I have been impressed with each additional song I hear of hers. Her talent is amazing. Her lyrics are as strong as her voice. She is truly a breath of fresh air. A talent we have been waiting for. Can't wait to hear more from her.

July 18, 2008: The best album I've bought in a very, very long time! Elisa has such a powerful voice, her music is everything from soothing to energetic and in this CD you'll experience both! Whether you're new to her music or are an all time fan, I assure you this album won't let you down as it adapts to whatever mood or environment you're in! My faves: Dancing, Rainbow, Waves, Life goes on.
