The parameters of hip-hop feminism look to be tested once again with the debut of Trina's DA BADDEST B***H. In the tradition of Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown, the 20-year-old takes a scandalous approach, offering a wild ride full of sex, materialism, and more sex. Trina -- who made us take notice on the Trick Daddy hit "Naan Nigga" -- has no problem expressing herself explicitly over the Miami bass-influenced tracks provided by producers like Black Mob Group and Righteous Funk Boogie, especially on the bass-heavy title track. "Ain't S**t," featuring feisty newcomer Lois Lane, is an answer song to Snoop Dogg's classic "B***hes Ain't S**t," that proves Trina can give back as good as she gets. And Trick Daddy drops in to trade verses on the go-go saturated "Off the Chain with It." Trina's sexy image and her risqué lyrics will definitely raise a few eyebrows. But her Dirty South beats will inspire your other body parts to move as well. Rashaun Hall, Barnes & Noble
