About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

While Bon Jovi always managed to stick a couple of killer album tracks on their records, their main strength has always been singles. Cross Road collects all of their biggest hits, adding a couple of new songs and Jon Bon Jovi's solo hit, "Blaze of Glory," for good measure. Even the band's detractors may not be able to resist the constant flow of big guitars, big hooks, and sweet melodies that pour out on Cross Road. After all, this is what state-of-the-art mainstream hard rock was all about in the late '80s. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

October 09, 2004: Great album, a very good choice of such huge hits. Every song on this collection is great! Although, I would have appreciated a few songs like "Born To Be My Baby", "Only Loney", "The Hardest Part is the Night", or "I'd Die For You" but none of the less... this album is still great. Umm... Manny, actually Bon Jovi supports the Democratic party, they played for Gore and are currently supporting Kerry so you can just shut up (is that allowed? i dunno). Myself am a Republican. I don't really care though, their music is great so it shouldn't matter.

July 11, 2004: I tend to disagree with 'Manny' here. On the contrary, I think that this is a fantastic CD. I think that anyone who doesn't like Jon Bon Jovi or anybody in the group Bon Jovi is crazy. I have "Slippery When Wet" and I absolutely love it. There are three songs on this CD from that album, and those are; "Livin' on a Prayer", "Wanted Dead or Alive", and of course, "You Give Love a Bad Name", which are all great songs with "Wanted Dead of Alive" being my favorite. However, this CD isn't limited to the fabulousness of "Slippery When Wet", it has "Runaway" from their debut CD "Bon Jovi:Bon Jovi", which has to be the best damn songs that I have ever heard. There are also many, many, and yes I repeat MANY more Bon Jovi hits on this CD. Let me tell you, you have got to get this, and if you like good, rocking, and explicit music, check out Guns N' Roses, and all of the above in the 'recommended' section.
