This two-fer from Beat Goes On reissues the Slim Whitman albums Country Memories and Cool Water; both LPs were originally issued on Imperial in the mid-'60s. The 24 cuts include a mixture of pop tunes such as "Roses Are Red (My Love)," "Twelfth of Never," and "Tennessee Waltz" along with traditional songs like "Cool Water," "La Golondrina," "The Letter Edged in Black," and "Down in the Valley."
