Most of the selections on this upbeat Christmas jazz CD feature the trio of trumpeter Charlie Bertini, pianist Randy Morris and drummer Ed Metz; a few selections add violinist Renee Dover, while the tuba of Dave Gannett helps out on "A Child Is Born." Morris also has a few piano solos. There is plenty of good humor, Christmas cheer, and swinging music on this enjoyable trad jazz-oriented release. Scott Yanow, All Music Guide

October 18, 2008: I bought this cd a few years ago, hoping to find some nicely jazzy instrumental Christmas music. It's perfect! I put it in the cd player at the start of the season and leave it there til well beyond New Year's day.
