January 27, 2006:
After the never-ending disputes between Lynott and Gary Moore, the latter left the band during the USA-tour of 1979. Moore was quickly replaced by session-guitarist Snowy White, who immediately was fit for work. In my opinion, he is one of the greatest lead-guitarists Lizzy ever had, and he brought some very fine blues-oriented playing along Lynott´s poetry. Credits also to long-term Lizzy-member Scott Gorham on rhythm-guitar. Maybe this was Lizzy´s last really fine moment in the recording studio, as they followed up this stellar album by "Renegade", a less energetic release.
