A heartfelt soundtrack that lives up to E.B. White's classic tale of a lovable pig, Danny Elfman's original score to the 2006 live-action film version of Charlotte's Web finds the often quirky composer mixing his trademark wondrous and spooky style with a more classical sound that brings to mind the work of iconic American composer Aaron Copland. The move is a fitting one given that Charlotte's Web takes place on a farm and, in that sense, Elfman's work here most closely borrows from Copland's "Appalachian Spring." Also included is the lyrical pop song "Ordinary Miracle," performed by vocalist Sarah McLachlan. Matt Collar
