About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Before Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley reunited with Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, they recorded Carnival of Souls with guitarist Bruce Kulick and drummer Eric Singer, intending to release the record either in late 1995 or early 1996. Once the reunion took off, Carnival of Souls was shelved and Kulick and Singer were unceremoniously given their walking papers, the final chapter of their history erased from public record. Unsurprisingly, the unreleased album became a hot bootleg in collector's circles, paving the way for its official release in the fall of 1997. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

March 31, 2006: As with Music from The Elder, don't expect it to be another KISS album. This is a Bruce Kulick (guitars) and Eric Singer (drums) album. It sounds heavy, but not like Creatures of the Night or Revenge, If not because of Paul Stanly and Gene Simmons vocals, it will be hard to tell that it was KISS all the time. Play it while you listen to STP, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains. It makes sense. Good KISS album, something different.

June 17, 2005: This is my 2nd fave Kiss album. It's a nice change from all the others. Kiss is a good band, but they began to get redundant after a while, until this album came along. Good songwriting, etc. shows that they actually are into other things, and that they are aware of the times around them, other than what woman they can get for them tonight. I give this one a 5 star rating.
