About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

In addition to her lustrous voice and dramatic performance style, Lind Eder has plenty of chutzpah. She’d have to in order to even attempt an album devoted to songs immortalized by the iconic Judy Garland. Well, Eder’s daring paid off: By Myself is a triumph. It’s in her favor, of course, that Eder skimmed the cream of the Garland repertoire: “You Made Me Love you,” “This Can’t Be Love,” “The Trolley Song,” and “Me and My Shadow,” to single out but a few gems from the golden age of American songwriting. Another bonus is the sheer majesty of Eder’s voice -- this is a great singer surely in her prime -- and her ever-intelligent delivery. Eder remains respectful of the Garland legacy but puts her own shining spin on the material. Combined with sterling production and lush but never cloying arrangements, Eder’s rousing vocals pay tribute to the immortal Garland while staking her own claim for A-list status. This is a highlight of the 2005 recording season. William Pearl, Barnes & Noble

October 27, 2005: Linda Eder's voice gets richer and richer with age and experience. I love her interpretation of these songs. The more I listen to it the better it gets. I cannot wait to see her perform these songs at Carnegie Hall. I hope she starts getting the recognition she deserves soon.
