    About this Artist

    Editorial Reviews

The Brentford Trilogy Box Sets rounds up Nick Lowe's three albums from 1994 through 2001, beginning with The Impossible Bird and ending with The Convincer. The Impossible Bird marked a quiet shift from the raucous roots rock of Lowe's 1990 reunion with Dave Edmunds, Party of One, but it wasn't a beginning of a trilogy as much as the opening of a new chapter, one that wasn't concluded with The Convincer but continued with 2007's At My Age, a record very much in the vein as the three albums here (the third being 1998's Dig My Mood). As there are no bonus tracks here -- the only extra being a 12-page book with photos and liner notes -- there's not much reason for any fan to replace their existing copies with this box, but for anybody who doesn't already own these three albums, this is an easy, affordable way to get some superb music.
