This was a score I had to give a second chance, and I'm glad I did. When I initially purchased Blade II, I wasn't sure if I had made a wise decision and the CD was left to collect dust. A few months later, I came back to this score and was quickly stunned to realize how much I DID enjoy it. Some of the standout tracks include "Nyssa Over Easy," "Charge of the Light Grenade" and "Family Feud." Marco Beltrami does a nice job of highlighting some of the softer moments in the film, giving the action that much more of a punch when its time for Blade to "slice and dice." Danny Saber's contribution, the main title, also adds a fun bit of techno music. This score has a little bit of everything and while it contains less than 35 minutes of music, it's a wise decision to avoid the repetition you might find in some longer movie score CD's.
