Yet another Tavares collection (the count is well over a dozen now), Collectables' The Best of Tavares adds to the heap in unremarkable style -- Capitol's 1996 Capitol Gold compilation remains the best and most thorough of the bunch. This disc contains ten tracks from one of the disco era's most popular groups, including "More Than a Woman," "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," "Never Had a Love Like This Before," "It Only Takes a Minute Girl," and "Remember That I Told You to Forget." Despite the pointlessness in releasing another anthology of the group, this disc provides a decent introduction; however, since Tavares' albums were filler-prone, there really isn't any need to go deeper than a good compilation like this one.
