About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

The Australian comp The Best of Ricky Martin delivers just what the title promises -- the highlights of Martin's English and Spanish-language pop careers. All the usual suspects, like "Livin' la Vida Loca," "She Bangs," "Shake Your Bon-Bon," and "Private Emotion," are here, as well as remixes of "Amor," "Maria," and "Loaded." "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely" and "Be Careful (Cuidado con Mi Corazón)," Martin's duets with Christina Aguilera and Madonna, and "The Cup of Life," the official song of the 1998 World Cup, are some of the disc's other high points. Though it doesn't really dig into Martin's early-'90s albums, The Best of Ricky Martin is a handy, concise overview of the songs that made him a superstar. Heather Phares, All Music Guide

November 15, 2002: Ok, so Ricky Martin has released like two records and he's already bringing out a "Best Of" CD? Am I the only one who doesn't understand why this is being released? I mean, aren't you supposed to wait at least ten years before deciding that you're practically a legend and deserve to bring out something like this?! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money. "Best Of" by Ricky Martin doesn't even deserve a star! He's just another singer that's here today and gone tomorrow!
