Choosing a best-of collection for Kitaro must be a difficult task. Everything he touches turns to gold. Best of Kitaro, Vol. 2 is a collection of pieces from his releases of 1988 through 1998. The selected compositions are typical of this man's techniques and styles. While there is only one unfortunate track with vocals (by the ever irritating Jon Anderson), all of the performances are lyrical. Kitaro's gentle touch and smooth sound design give the pieces special flair. Each piece has its own panache, charm, and grace. This is an excellent starting point for any Kitaro collection.
