An excellent performance of Faustby Anonymous

July 14, 2009: An excellent performance of Faust. Markevich leads a top flight group of soloists, chorus & orchestra. As a plus the DG 1960 stereo is a great recording. I can't compare this with other recordings by Davis or Dutoit but I recommend this. The 1956 Harold in Italy is a fine performance but is mono. Overall, a set worth having.
