Back on Broadway finds the Broadway Kids in their element, performing a dozen old and new show tune favorites like Cats' "Jelllicle Songs for Jellicle Cats," The Lion King's "I Just Can't Wait to Be King," and Rent's "Seasons of Love." The most successful numbers spotlight one or two of the Kids, as on "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)" and "I Feel Pretty." The "Bye Bye Birdie Medley," "You Gotta Have Heart," and "Broadway Babies" are some of the collection's other highlights, avoiding the occasionally brassy singing that pops up on numbers like "Beauty and the Beast" and "Corner of the Sky." Nevertheless, for the most part, Back on Broadway is an entertaining, inspiring singalong collection for aspiring young singers and actors. Heather Phares, All Music Guide
