January 31, 2008: Cussing in some of the songs were too much. But overall, a solid debut. With singles like "Bed", "Ten Thug Commandments" and "Suffocate" bringing some tempo, J Holiday slows it down with "Fatal" to "Fallin". Back of My Lac' is a reminiscent of Jaheim's first cd Ghetto Love.

November 17, 2007: Pretty decent cd- but I'd recommend the clean version. Can't stand cursing in R&B- if I want to hear that, I'll buy rap. 6 of the first 7 songs have something they'd have to bleep on the radio...ugh! But the last few songs aren't like that, and every song's pretty good. My fave's are the hit "Bed," the Rodney Jerkins produced "Be With Me" (should be a radio hit), "Pimp in Me," and "Fatal". "Thug Commandments" sounds very much like Jaheim's "Fabolous" (same producer, Balewa Muhammad...) Surprisingly good set from J. who's from DC and who sounds a lot like his VA neighbor Trey Songz to me- funny that their albums dropped the same day. Good voice- can't wait 'til he grows up.
