About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Age to Age put the "contemporary" in CCM when it officially launched an 18-year-old Amy Grant into Christian music stardom. Though it was her second release, fans immediately connected with the 1982 album's Top 40-style songs, a breath of fresh air in what was then a somewhat stodgy genre. Songs on Age to Age often use the words "You" and "Him" as euphemisms for God or to discuss Christian "lifestyle" topics, proving a good Christian song doesn't have to pound the Bible. The album's most significant legacy, however, is the prominent careers it launched, in addition to Grant's. Then-unknowns Rich Mullins, Gary Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Kathy Troccoli, and Michael Card all contributed songs to Age to Age, proving Amy Grant's uncanny ability to turn anything she touches to gold. Lisa Zhito Barnes & Noble
