About This Item

Deviations Project is a British electronic music duo comprised of producer Dave Williams and violinist Oliver Lewis. Their music re-creates familiar classical pieces by layering the warm acoustic tones of the violin over lush, swirling, synthesized harmonies. The Project's second full length album is Adeste Fiddles (no, that's not a typo: Dave and Ollie both enjoy playing with words as well as music). Putting a new spin on holiday classics, the album offers Christmas favorites like Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," fitted out with a driving bass and thumping rhythm.

February 16, 2009: This Holiday CD is a great addition to One's Music Collection.
It has a wonderful and different approach to the average Christmas Songs. The selections are quite pleasing to listen to with that Special Touch.

November 28, 2008: I picked this up a bit on impulse for the Thanksgiving holidays (and because I thought the artwork was very pretty) and all I have to say is what a pleasant surprise! My family had so much fun listening to this album on Thanksgiving that we must have played it three times. Plenty of familiar and not so familiar Christmas songs that all suddenly sound new and exciting! I can tell this is going to be part of our holiday for many years to come.
