About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Talk about truth in advertising! The band that borrowed its name from the Brit slang term for a speed freak has seldom taken the pedal off the metal long enough to allow its fans a breather -- which is just what those tireless headbangers demand. This disc may well be the most concise distillation of the Motörhead sound: good, solid rock played at hyperspeed with a minimum of fuss -- and a surfeit of volume. The timeless title track is probably the best known attraction here, but the surrounding sonic blasts don't fall too far short of that one's wild-eyed fury. From the blue-collar choogle of "We Are the Road Crew" to the lowdown lewdness of "Love Me Like a Reptile," Lemmy and company rant and rave in inimitable style -- and let you know that nothing succeeds like excess. David Sprague, Barnes & Noble

March 10, 2003: Masterwork! No bad songs! This is real hard rock. Good guitars, drums, and Lemmy's voice. He has a real man's voice, really! Good songs are like the tile track, "Love me like a reptile", "Shoot You in the Back", "(We are) the road crew and "The Chase is better than the catch". Therese tracks are like from Western Movies. Real rock!
