Disappointing? Are you kidding? Its great! Yes some songs are different. But most of them are the same and some of the new songs are great. I saw the NYC bombay dreams and I liked it ok, but I really love the soundtrack. Having the london one makes it better not worse. Def. get it!

I don't know why they chose not to make a NY cast album. it just causes confusion to the listener since the play was changed so much in the jump over the pond it is almost unrecognizable. although it remains one of the most enjoyable musicals on broadway with the most stay with you tunes, the london show was much more in depth and a much better show. the reason for everything that happens in the show is changed in NY. in London Pria's father is a ganster who is in jail and is owned by a mob boss. his dealings with the mob boss lead to his not wanting to be released from jail for fear of his life, which he loses before the end of act I. the mob boss moves on to own her husband and to finance Pria's movie. Don't release me was a big wounderful number, cut from NY (really to bad). the wrap number in NY was an actual song in London, which actually fit in with the show, and the whole show had much more of an Indian, Bombay Flavor which they seem to have given up in NY, and the main NY actors seem unable to sustain when they do try. Still you leave happy and humming and you listen to the CD over and over.
