Editorial Reviews

This is one of pianist Vince Guaraldi's better sets. Showcased in a San Francisco-based trio with guitarist Eddie Duran and bassist Dean Reilly, Guaraldi plays seven standards plus his own "Like a Mighty Rose" tastefully and with light swing, making this a program that is equally successful as both cool jazz and background music. April 19, 2000: I knew Vince back in the late '50's when he played with Howard Rumsey at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach and discovered then what a wonderful pianist and composer he was. Buy this album, it's great for stressed out, after work relaxing.

April 16, 2000: Vince's was a wonderful voice in jazz, and really needs to be seen as more than the psyche of Charlie Brown and his pals.
