Collection for the Record is a solid, 16-track collection of the Look's (with singer Dave Edwards) finest moments. They may have only had limited success in the new wave era -- especially with their sillier than silly haircuts -- but the band was one of the more straight-ahead rockers of the period. Edwards writes tight, hedonistic, balls-out rockers with the guitars blazing out front; evidenced by everything here, but especially by "You Can't Sit Down," and "We're Gonna Rock."
