About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Throughout the late '90s, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Sublime paved the way for many ska-punk bands to make an appearance on commercial alternative radio and (thanks to their commercials) help to usher in a new generation of Chuck Taylor-Converse-sneaker-wearing-Two Tone fans . This latest installment in the 20th Century Masters collection covers the second half of the Bosstones' career. From the opening moments of "Someday I Suppose" to their cover of Kiss' "Detroit Rock City," it's a trip down memory lane, crowned by the album's prime jewel, the chart-topping crossover hit "The Impression That I Get." This is the only disc casual fans of the group will ever need, and one that diehards could use as a supplementary greatest hits until a full anthology spanning the group's entire career is issued.
