Even though it's a "TV" album, this Tammy Wynette hits package still delivers the goods. Heavily weighted toward her prime late-'60s and early-'70s smashes, the 20-track collection covers such usual suspects as "Stand By Your Man," "D-I-V-O-R-C-E," "Apartment No. 9," and "When He Loves Me (He Loves Me All the Way)." And fleshing things out nicely, the disc takes in a few relatively rare cuts from the later years, like "'Til I Get It Right" and "Run, Woman, Run" (contrary to the expected conclusion, this last song is not in reference to Wynette's shaky marriage to George Jones). And while this might not be the best Tammy Wynette hits collection to get, it should be the least expensive, thanks to its likely cutout-bin status. Stephen Cook, All Music Guide
