About this Artist

Editorial Reviews

Let's face facts: Mariah Carey has sold more records in the '90s than perhaps any other artist this side of Garth Brooks. Whether or not these songs deserve their hit status is beside the point. Carey produces state-of-the-art dance pop, and her adoring audience hangs on every note. Arranged in reverse chronology, these aerobic ballads and lite hip-pop numbers track Carey's development from the impressionable young bride to the more self-assured, single woman that emerged following her divorce from record executive Tommy Mottola. Also evident from the sonic timeline here is the growth in Carey's vocal delivery -- where once she soared to the highest possible notes, her recent songs show her exercising restraint, making for a warmer, more emotional sound. Although this anthology already features more than a dozen No. 1 hits, Carey is young, and there should be plenty more where they came from. Martin Johnson, Barnes & Noble

August 19, 2003: After only 8 years in the music industry Mariah realized an album with all her number 1#,s singles and they were 14 that is just amazing no other female artist in history has ralized an album with all her number 1#´s after sush a short time and 14 songs that just shows us how talented Mariah is and she writes and produces all her own materials. This album has also 4 new songs like the catchy hip-hop tune Sweetheart with Jermaine Dupri,Whenever You Call with Brian MCKnight and When You Believe with Whitney Houston, also the theme from mahagony do you know where you´re going to. Mariah is my all time favorit diva with Celine Dion.

August 09, 2003: Mariah Carey is awesome i love her stunning 7 octaves big voice no other female artist in history has realized an album with only number 1#hits and she is bigger than Whitney Houston,Madonna and Celine Dion but they all are great but they can´t beat Mariah she is one of a kind because she writes all her own materials and produces them not Whitney or Celine. Mariah Carey is the best ever and i really care for her she is just like us and has this beautiful voice and she looks so good she is the most beautiful person i ever seen. Keep on going Mariah and don´t ever chance. Mariah´s new album Charmbracelet is wonderful it sort of growns on you i didn´t like Rainbow or Glitter but this album Charmbracelet is telling me that she is back forget Glitter and listen to Charmbracelet she is making us her lambs again.
